Man of the house

Señor of Cecil Street

Look at his paws

So tiny and sweet

 

Rustling his whiskers

Scurrying around in his ball 

‘He’s in the kitchen!’ 

‘Running straight for the wall!’ 

 

3 short lived months 

In a cold student flat 

Should’ve got a tortoise

Or maybe a rat ..

 

Six spoons in the garden 

Resting peacefully, under the leaves 

Lies dearest little Cecil

In the crisp, autumnal breeze
